@gloriajean  I'm SO glad you posted this.  Why have I never thought to buy shelled garlic and freeze it in small portions?????

We buy garlic shelled at Sam's club in a big bag.  I will mince it all in my food processor and freeze in little snack baggies, 1 cup in a baggie.  I keep one out in a glass container in the fridge.  This works so well that I just wanted to share it with you all.  I've been doing this for a few years now and will continue. It is so handy without having to take the shells off etc.

Thanks for the info. I will get some next time I have a Sams club buy.

Great idea, wish I could purchase garlic. My hubby doesn't like garlic. Can you imagine?!?🤣

@RespectLife  You bet! We're in Wegmans country. Buffalo is "Tops country," so we have a lot of those stores around here, too.

Nice to meet ya neighbor @Moonlady

I'm in Niagara County but not too far up.  I have a Wegman's and Tops right next to each other!

I wish we had a Meijer though!  Fell in love w/ that chain while travelling more South!

I get minced garlic in a huge jar from Costco. It's so very fresh, easy to use and keeps forever. I use garlic in everything! Heart

I also enjoy the big bag of peeled garlic—I don't prep it ahead of time, but it's always nice to know that it's in the freezer waiting to be pulled into service. Even America's Test Kitchen recommends this convenient option.  Smiley Happy

I use already chopped garlic so it stays in the refer but if I find big bulbs at a good price, I will roast it all and then store it my cooking oil.
