Re: Sterling Silver Flatware?

@KatieB, since you worked there, do you feel Replacements a reputable business with fair prices? I have a very nice set of sterling flatware that just sits in my safe deposit box, and I have no idea what it's worth or how to sell it. Any advice you might have would be much appreciated.

@KaySD   Yes they are a very reputable company.  They will buy your silver.  I and Replacements are in Greensboro NC.  I don't know what state you live in, but their showroom is worth seeing.  Bob Page, the owner has the most beautiful collections you will ever see.

After I picked out my china and did some looking at their patterns, I found that they did not sell this particular pattern.  I mentioned it to Bob and in a couple of weeks he came into my office with a cart of my china.  They now carry this pattern (Royal Doulton Biltmore).

You could contact them by phone to get information on their purchase policy.  Their prices will depend on how much demand they have for the particular product.  Also their inventory of this pattern will affect the prices they will pay.   The condition of your silver will affect the price too.

Phone:     1-800-REPLACE (1-800-737-5223)

Hope this helps...   Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I just saw your post today....

Re: Sterling Silver Flatware?

I have 8 complete place settings of my grandma's sterling from 1919. It was hand engraved with her initials.  I was told by an antiques expert that the initials have greatly reduced its antique value and it is only worth the silver content.  The main value to me is that it was my grandma's.  I don't use it much anymore.
