Le Creuset is the gold standard, I've had them for probably 40 years at least. No they don't stick but you can ruin the surface by letting something burn really badly. They are an investment that you can pass on.  I was watching a South Korean chef, prepare something on YouTube recently, and I smiled when I saw him using a Le Creuset pot. It is truly an internationally treasured cooking item.

p.s. They are heavy for a reason, anybody who has cooked in a very thin pan, knows why.

I love my Le Creuset and have used them hard. I have scorched a thing or two over the years and admit it was my fault. Two were handed down to me and will pass them along when that time comes. It's heavy, and that is one reason it is not used daily, I just cannot easily lift them these days.

Good to Know

  • The pot weighs approx. 9.145 lbs.
  • The lid weighs approx. 4.8 lbs.
  • Total weight is approx. 13.945 lbs.

And even tho my dining table isn't a football field away from my kitchen,  this is the reason I don't own either brand.

I have both brands, Le Crueset and Staub (which I found out I was pronouncing Staub incorrectly watching the HSN programming).  Both brands are easy to clean, work well on the stove top or oven, durable.  Can't go wrong with either brand.  I did not purchase any of my LC or S from qvc or hsn. All came from kitchen stores or the LC outlet near me.
