HSN has a STAUB pot as their TS today.  They are great pots according to many sites.  One thing I DO NOT agree with is the rep keeps saying that the "other" cast iron enameled pan (she is obviously referring to Le Crueset) stick  something awful.  That is totally not true.  I own 3 of them (got at Marshall's years ago when they were cheap) and they clean up like a dream.  You most certainly do not have to soak them overnight like she claims!! I hope people do not listen to her.

And I have a Cuisinart 3-4 qt. and there is not a problem with sticking to enamel with it either.

Staub is a good name, no need to fabricate faults in competition.

Anyone considering this HSN offering would do well to check Amazon or the Zwilling website first. I prefer a round Dutch oven to the oval, because I often use it on my stove top. I've had my Lodge for over two years, use it nearly every week, and it looks brand new. I realize they are not made in France, but I paid $69.00 for a 6 qt.

Staub is good.  Le Creuset is better.  Both are good to cook with and petty.  LC is a little lighter and I like the coating better.  It is not stick proof but I have no issues at all with hit if I don't crank up the heat and burn or scorch stuff in it.

We use our LC grill pans with the black coating a lot.  We love them to grease and make cornbread.  Also, if you sear meat, pour very hot water in as soon as you take the meat out.  You'll have broth and easy cleanup!

Well, Le Crueset usually has good reviews @bargainsgirl . However, when QVC had one during the holidays as a TSV I did some research. Too many reviews were like the one's below so I did not order.

After the last two disasters on QVC LC orders I wouldn't buy from them again.  One was lost and never heard of again in shipping and the other was sent without anything between the lid and the pot and the lid was upside down.

You could hear it banging and clanging when I got it off the porch and apparently others had that issue as well.  To easy to buy on sale or from their outlets and retailers.

Very interesting.  I find them to be great to cook with and very easy to clean up.  Maybe these people were using very high heat (which you are not to do nor do you need to) but I have never had anything stick or burn.  Maybe the coating was faulty...who knows...

I like the looks of both Staub and Le Crueset, but I know I can't use them.  I can barely lift them cool and containing no food.  Hot and full of food, any pot or pan in my kitchen is a disaster waiting to happen.

In addition, I hear the hosts and reps selling both talk about the heirlooms they will become.  Maybe for those who have families close to carry them home -  that is not the slightest part of my decision as I think about buying anything from a pair of earrings to a heavy Dutch oven!
