Food network says to use white stale bread for stuffing? Should I buy a loaf and let it sit out. I dont want mold to grow. I usually dont buy white bread. Has anyone used white stale bread?

Do you use a box stuffing? (that is what I've always done). Just trying to follow the recipe.
