I have granite with a white background. THere is a portion of it that has a faint brownish stain from it being a "work" area. Has anyone ever used bleach or peroxide to get a stain off of granite? I read some site that said you can...but I always like to check here!

Yes, my mom acquired an antique wash stand with white marble top. that was badly stained. She was able to remove the stain using chlorine bleach.

I haven't used bleach on mine. I have a problem with my granite staining and I registered a complaint with Lowes and am actually having it replaced under my warranty on the 15th.
It was stained with tomato sauce.
Best of luck to you.

@bargainsgirl Please call a local shop that specializes in granite and sells and installs it and ask them what to do. They will help you. If you don't have one locally, call a few in the nearest larger city.
Good luck!
