Re: Splatter proof microwave covers

Years ago I bought a vented heavy duty plastic cover online.  Works like a charm.

Re: Splatter proof microwave covers

Hi, goldensrbest -- about six months ago I picked up a magnetic splatter cover on Amaz*n called 'Hover Cover.'  I really luv how it hangs from the ceiling of the microwave oven so it is always available but never in the way.  It cleans off easily when needed, I think the vents help minimize the major cooking explosions lol.  I also have spotted it at Bed Bath & B*yond in case you would like to see it before you buy it.  Woman Happy

Re: Splatter proof microwave covers

I use L&L so I have covers for the microwave. I have had good luck with an ordinary paper plate over the top of the food. Works every time.

This is what I use, too.  Except that it was just a set of three back when I bought it.  I throw it into the dishwasher to clean.

I have two that I ordered from Amazon several years ago.  They are hard plastic, have vents and work so well.  I wash after every use....

Re: Splatter proof microwave covers

If you are reheating something in the microwave and it actually blows the cover off you have it in for too long and its too hot. Microwave in 30 second intervals and you won't get anything blowing off and messing up the inside.

OMG!  I have that cover QVC was selling about 4 or so months ago!  You got two of them.

They work great.  It sticks to the inside top of the microwave.  When I need to cover something, it's always available.  Then I rise it out and stick it back up inside the microwave.

A warning though.  For some reason it didn't stick to my daughter's microwave.  It does stick to mine and is very convenient.

I bought that at Bed Bath & Beyond.  It seemed like a great idea.  But I ended up returning it because it didn't stick to the inside top of my microwave, which made it just another cover.

I currently use a set of plastic vented covers in various sizes.  No warping, no blowing off, no problems ever.
