@Biftu   Did you ever try the FryWall Splatter Guards?  If so, did you like them?

@Biftu     I stopped using the basic splatter guards years ago.   I now use Frywall Splatter Guards.  You can get them on  frywall dot com or Amazon.  They come in several sizes:  for 12 inch pans, 10 in pans, 8 inch pans.  They work really well.

@Boehm Collector  Thanks, looks like this will work.  I'm going to try this.

@Boehm Collector  I did get this.  I've been meaning to let you know. it works so much better than the old splatter guards.  At first I felt it was never going to fit, but with a little fidgeting it worked just fine.  Now that I have the jist of it, no problem. I ordered the 8" and will probably order the 10".  Thanks so much for your recommendation.

Read an article recently that said to use larger fry pans to prevent spatter.  Makes sense!

Re: Spatter Guards

[ Edited ]

I have a large circular flat screen (fine mesh) splatter guard with a folding long handle. It works perfectly and then goes on its side behind the dinner plates in the dish washer. The downside is that I have had it for years and no longer recall where I bought it. It works so well that I am not interested in getting a "walled" grease protector.

@Q-Checker

I have one of these too.

I bought it @  the Dollar store.

Not perfect, but it's sorta okay.

I have one of the "old" screen type and it worked surprising well.  It cut down on the splatter about 95%, especially the bacon.  I still have it and use it occasionally.

@Flatbush .... They work really well.   You have to play with them a bit to get them on but they do fit.   I have them for 13", 12" 10" and 8" pans.   You can get them at frywall dot com or Amazon.

@Imaoldhippie .. yes, they work well.   Until you have to take them off to stir, etc.

The only thing that works for me is constantly cleaning my black stovetop!  It's annoying but it always looks dirty & smeared unless I just clean it.
