I have basic spatter guards yet my stovetop is always spattered on. Is there a brand or type that really works?

I guess they work well until you have to remove it to flip or stir something, then the oil or whatever can still splatter.

@Biftu I stopped using the basic splatter guards years ago. I now use Frywall Splatter Guards. You can get them on frywall dot com or Amazon. They come in several sizes: for 12 inch pans, 10 in pans, 8 inch pans. They work really well.

@Boehm Collector Thanks, looks like this will work. I'm going to try this.

@Biftu you're welcome. You have to play with them a bit to get them to go on properly. But they do fit.

@Boehm Collector I would rather play with them a bit than spend time cleaning up the mess on the stove top.

I often just use a 'tall' pan, like a pasta boiler. No matter what I am going to have a pan to wash anyway.

We have a narrow counter with drawers below, to the right of our stove/oven. I keep my Kitchenaid mixer there and behind the mixer I keep my cutting boards, pressed up to the back wall. One day I bought a set of splatter guards - a round screen type with a handle. I came home washed them and figured I'd keep them by the cutting boards for easy access. As I put them there and wanted to adjust the handle position one rolled off the counter and it now lives behind the oven. I'm too lazy to pull the oven out just to retrieve it. 😆🤷♀️

I don't have splatter issues with my silicone guards, which came from QVC many years ago. They are similar to the BergHOFF splatter guards that are still available. I use them for multiple things.
