Sometimes I forget that DH needs explicit directions....

I said, "Please take the tablecloth out of the dryer and put it on the table".  That's what he did.  My fault for not being more specific.

There is a clever children's book called Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parrish about this exact thing. If you get a chance it would be a funny prank to check out a copy from the library for him to read.

 

I always read it to my class on the first day of school and had a discussion about misunderstandings.
