Some Oddball Kitchen Items

[ Edited ]

I'm enjoying my Shein (direct from China) clothing purchases, so I decided to try some inexpensive kitchen gadgets. They just arrived, so I can't rate them yet.

-A plastic and silicon pot scraper, angled so it's easy to stand over your garbage can and scrape your frying pan. $1.92

-Mesh disposable kitchen sink drain filters. I hate cleaning my metal one. These look like tiny mesh shower caps that stretch over the metal. Hey, why not? $1.92

-50 kitchen-sized garbage bags with handles. You can use them to line your garbage can or to carry things. $5.40.

Shein has free shipping on Sundays. It's like going to the flea market.

@PickyPicky3 I thought Shein was  not reputable....could you give some information regarding the clothes you have received and shipping?  Thanks.  Have fun with your new gadgets!

My DD's used to order their clothes. They were cheap but you get what you pay for

@PickyPicky3 .................Im glad that you are happy with Shein.  Shein is one of the companies I googled and they had poor reviews and horror stories of not getting the things they ordered, totally different item sent than ordered and no refunds for returns and, clothing way to small, and on and on.

So I have stayed away from them.

I have become an unabashed fan of Shein. These gadgets were my third order with no problems whatsoever. Their website technology is the best I've used. I've not had to return anything. I am thrilled beyond words that they offer the short sleeve, short length simple pullover WOVEN blouses I wore with suits 30 years ago. I haven't seen them for sale here in 15 years. Now they're perfect as summer tops.

I love reading reviews from women all over the world with instant translation if you need it. When you put your cursor over an item's size the garment measurements come up.

Shein adds 500 items a day. It can be addictive. Their downright cheap clothing offerings are aimed at 16-30 year olds, so their clothing suitable for mature women always goes on clearance. The blouses I bought are slightly lower in quality than the ones I bought years ago and now include 1% spandex. They wash well and fit. They cost $9 to $15.

Shein has a completely different marketing model than most retailers, including Amazon. I think their innovation is great.

I would recommend you still go up one size even after reading garment measurements.

Since shipping is free on Sundays, you can order one item and see how it goes.

Shein was started by a computer guy who wanted to create a completely different kind of website. After he got the technology he wanted, he decided to use it with clothing and now other items too.

China does a lot of things I dislike, but I like Shein.

I never heard of Shein but it looks interesting.  I'll explore the website.

My niece shops there all the time, & hasn't had an issue at all.

I'd assumed that Shein was pronounced like 'shine', but she corrected me. It's 'SHE-in'.

Muddling through...
