Solution to Freezer/Microwave Problem

[ Edited ]

I cook a lot in large amounts and enjoy being able to pull soups, stew, and spagetti sauce out of the freezer.  I finally found some really nice containers on amazon.  I highly recommend the quality and love that they'll be as convenient to use as the old freezer containers!

 Several different sets.

 Food Storage Containers with Lids, Round Plastic Deli Cups, US Made, 32 oz, Quart Size, Leak Proof, Airtight, Microwave & Dishwasher Safe, Stackable, Reusable, White [24 Pack]  $15.95.

@ECBG

The only thing I do in very large batches is marinara sauce.

I use varying sizes of Ziploc bags which I freeze with them laying flat in the freezer.  They take up less room that way.

DH makes batches of peppers and tomatoes as well as clam sauce, and a packages dry European soup mix.  He stores them in freezer bags.

We use long narrow plastic bins to store like products for ease in selection.

Re: Solution to Freezer/Microwave Problem

I have bought the Reditainer Extreme Freeze Deli Food Containers with Lids, in both the  pints and quarts from Amazon for years.  I make 8 qts of soup at a time and freeze, these containers are awesome and great price for the quality.
