Question for any other SS uses out there and any difficulties keeping the bottles clean so as to not develop a 'ring' near where the colored plastic sits at the bottom. DH drinks quite a bit of the Cola flavor and I notice it definitely leaves a slight discoloration in our 1/2 liter bottles despite cleaning them out with warm water and dish soap after each use. I recently bought a bottle brush (soft kind, not harsh like some are) and have been trying to get that "ring around the bottle" out of there but have had no luck at all. Do any of you get this, and how do you get rid of it? I've even mixed a small bleach mixture to clean with, but it is so stubborn. I don't really want to get a new set of bottles, but sometimes when he has the cola formulation, and lets it sit for a day or two in the fridge, I just cringe knowing that the ring line is building up....it's starting to look really disgusting despite my efforts (I refuse to use them at this point). I know just charge the water and pour it into a glass, then add syrup as needed, but I shouldn't have to do that. Any thoughts/ideas??
