Last night about 11:55 I caved and bought the red one.  This morning I was surprised it was still $30.  I didn't think HSN or QVC held over the price of their TSV/TS.

I have the Cook's Essentials 5 Cup Perfect Cooker (item #K44485) from several years ago.

The item number is still active, and if you go partway down the page, you will see a clickable link to download a PDF file containing recipes.  The file is 23 pages long, and contains quite a few recipes.

Curtis Stone's Multi Cooker is an 8 cup model, so the recipes for the Cooks Essentials 5 Cup Perfect Cooker should work nicely.

Earlier I posted that I was going to purchase the Curtis Stone 2 quart multi-cooker on HSN and I did. HOWEVER the box contained NO Use and Care Guide. There is a link online to the Use and Care Guide but it's a bad link that does not work! So I just called HSN customer support. That woman, though pleasant enough, was no help. The link to the Use & Care Guide does not work and she/HSN will not mail the guide to me. Soooo I have a piece of equipment I will not be able to use as I have no instructions on how to use it. I'm not a happy camper. What was this customer support person's "solution?" She told me that I could box up my multi-cooker and return it to HSN and then order another one that would (hopefully) come with a use and care guide. I said to her, "Now that doesn't make any sense at all." In fact that "solution" is absurd. Why should I have to go through all that, when the problem isn't mine, just to get a user and care guide? Why can't HSN just mail the darned guide to me??!! I rarely purchase anything from HSN and this is one of the reasons. I never have problems with what I purchase from QVC.  

So for any of you who purchased the 2 quart multi-cooker AND received the Use and Care Guide - have you used it and how do you like it? Thanks.

I love anything by Curtis Stone, but I have an earlier model from years ago but it hasn't changed features.  I use it for omelets, oatmeal & several other items.  I am not a rice eater.  It is perfect for one person, not a crowd & he doesn't claim it is.
