Slight Solofil problem, is this normal?

I just got my Solofil and it is working great. However, when I get to the bottom of the cup of coffee (I drink mine black) there is sludge. Do you know what I mean? I've tried two different brands of coffee. Both brands are just off the shelf regular grinds.

I filled the coffee grounds to the top but left enough room so that the top can seal. I tamp it down on the counter so more coffee can fit in the cup.

The strength of coffee is fine for me other than I can't drink it to the last drop. LOL

Is it just how it is or am I using the wrong type of coffee?
