Skinny Mini Rice Cooker

[ Edited ]

For anyone that missed the Skinny Mini TSV on HSN with the free steamer the Original model that was $49.95 is on sale today for $29.95. $20.00 off today only as they are having a cooking special. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if a steamer isn't that

important to you. There are several colors available right now.

I received my Rice Cooker book by Marian Getz yesterday and it is so worth the price. I am trying to decide what I want to make next.

Last night I got home late, it was pouring rain, I put a couple chicken tenders in my Skinny Mini..some rice, water, sliced green onion, a blob of cream of chicken soup, some shredded cheddar cheese, walked away, changed clothes, read my mail, got on the computer, and voila! Dinner!

IMPORTANT about the Skinny Mini Rice Cooker. I love mine but it can easily tip forward when pushing down on the Cook button and water can fall towards you if too much pressure. The Cook button needs a little pressure to push down and if you forget to hold it as you do it this is a problem. Yes I did that twice. My husband fixed the problem for me. I tried a few things to stabilize the front bottom that didn't work. He had an extra door wedge stopper. Perfect fit! It can be pushed under just at the exact height. Now I feel safe that hot food or liquid will not spill on me or the counter. I know I read this once and now here is the trick so we can enjoy our Skinny Mini. Smiley Happy

I was having the same problem.  So glad I read your post.  I am going to try your suggestion.  Thanks for the tip.

Our Target has one that looks a lot like this for about $20.  Has anyone tried it?  I'm happy that so many are having good results with the Skinny Mini!  What fun!
