I've recently been reading that many non-stick cooking sprays contain silicone and other chemical additives as "propellants". Well, in my quest to go as natural, chemical-free and organic as possible, I purchased an oil sprayer at Sur le Table for about $15 and fill it with my own oil and spray it on baking sheets, the waffle maker and pans. Works great, and you get to control the type of oil you use. I don't use olive oil as that would add a strong flavor, but there are other oils you can use that work well and don't have a particular flavor. Experiment, it's worth it.....
