Side by Side Refrigerator Recommendations

After building our home in 2005 we went with all GE appliances and since then all have been serviced at least 3 times or more. All stopped working within the first year and then again and again after the warranties were up. The dishwasher was so bad with repair bills that we trashed it on the 4th year we had it. The final straw was when we heard that it was causing fires.

Almost 3 weeks ago I opened the fridge door and hot air hit me in the face. The temp. was 72 degrees. Since then the repairmen have been here to try and fix it 5 times replacing even the mother board. They cannot get the temperature down below 44 degrees. Occasionally it will go to 40. I wanted to trash it after the first repair but my husband did not.

I would love to hear your recommendations on a stainless side by side refrigerator. I did read somewhere where the life span on the side by side ones is only 8 or 9 years but the space is made for one so we will go with that again. The only one we will not buy is a GE. THIA everyone.
