Both!

I love shrimp cooked any way. I make scampi a lot, and etoufee; and I grew up eating shrimp and grits. I still love that and make it!

But there is NOTHING like cold shrimp with cocktail sauce. Nothing!  Smiley Happy

@beach-mom  I've heard so much about shrimp and grits. I'm trying my best to see it together. No matter what, my nephew would love it. Sunday breakfast.

@Sage04 - You have to try it! The flavor is amazing! Let me know if you want a recipe.  Smiley Happy

I don't boil shrimp I usually saute it.  I am going to try that oven roasted shrimp.   A shrimp cocktail is OK but I prefer it warm.

I really DISLIKE the precooked frozen shrimp.  It has an odd taste (maybe a preservative?) and a rubbery mouth feel.

I do like shrimp a lot but I have to make sure it's not from Southeast Asia, as those seem to make my throat itch.

I like a shrimp cocktail, so that's a good choice for me for eating it cold.

I have this shrimp and orzo recipe that I got from Cooking Light a hundred years ago that I really love.  It's easy, too, as you just toss everything in one of those cooking bags, near as I can recall.  I haven't made it in ages, though, and keep thinking I need to do that again.  So, I guess that's my fav recipe for eating it hot.

@chickenbutt  As I mentioned in another post, I had a reaction to shrimp last year, numbness and itchy lips.  It resolved within an hour or so and allergy testing was negative.  I have no idea of the shrimp source since we were in a restaurant - maybe Asia 🤷‍♀️.  Do you have any experience with shrimp sourced from Mexico?  I picked some up at Costco yesterday and keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

To my knowledge, no.  Sorry not to be any help.  But one thing - after I found that it was causing me that discomfort, and knowing I had a whole bunch of it left and I hate to waste, what I did after that was to just rinse the heck out of the rest of it as I used it and that helped a lot.

I love shrimp no matter how it's cooked, but shrimp scampi (aka shrimp in garlic & butter sauce) and shrimp cocktail are favorites.

At Costco recently, I bought another  2-lb. box of frozen SeaPak Garlic Butter Shrimp  Our first purchase was so good that I couldn't resist it this time.  Hope Costco keeps carrying that product.

The shrimp are easy to spread out on a  sheet pan, bake  and serve with or over rice.

I love that shrimp also.  I bought it once and have never found it again!
