Hi @SharkE I know you are a big fan of the Ninja Foodie

Please tell me all that you love of the Foodie.

I just got the Wolfgang Puck air fryer oven. I think I made a mistake.  The book says 3# chicken can be rotisseried, on the presentations they said 5#.  I can't find a chicken under 5# to save my life LOL.

I mostly air fry.  What do you do?

Can I just use air fry option?

How big of a chicken can you air fry?

What else do you love?

TIA

@Mary Bailey

look at the non brand chickens. PIlgrim and Tyson chickens are all those big chickens.

Non-name chickens are small I buy those to make chicken salad out of and to use for chicken and dumplings. May be labelled 'organic', 'cage free' or house brand they're cheaper sometimes too.

I never had any luck with a rotisserie thing. I'd tie it up , push the chicken down on the rod and the **** thing wouldn't turn just sit there trussed up or if it would start to move the strings would burn, legs would come undone and hit the floor of the unit then wouldn't turn at all. Wings would be raw and the wing tips would burn. I gave up on that idea. LOL    I had one of those original "set it and forget it'Units from Ron Popeil and gave it away. LOL

As everybody is sick to death of hearing in regards to the foodie is

you can bake a chicken in it, butter the top of it, air crisp it till it's browned

Bake a roast, then, pressure cook it all in the same pot.

Brown stew meat in it  (no skillet), then add your own vegetables and make beef stew, vegetable soup, etc.

air crisp frozen fries, salmon, onion rings, any store bought frozen thing

I air crisped minature pizzas one time, not have to turn on big oven for 2 minature pizzas, etc. Well worth the price.

Wasn't that long ago the Foodie was on Amazon for 5 minutes at 119 !

Man, that was a deal I paid 200 for one at Bed and Bath and for the red one I paid 179 thru Q with free shp. but, that's OK, I'm not one for the waiting game LOL

@SharkE   Thank you for your response.

I'm not tired of hearing how you love & use the Foodie.

I won't give up on the oven so soon.

anything that Wolfgang makes is probably pretty good. I got his indoor grill/griddle for pancakes.

I like the Ninja because one pot clean up and multiple purposes.

One thing that I would had bought yrs ago of Puck's was his oven/pressure cooker. It's kind of big and hubbo would had screamed.

I've got to have a pressure cooker ! Meat is so tough especially in Tx. I can't afford the butcher shops, big ol' thick things that's 12 a lb. So, just go the grocery store route and pressure cook them for third of the price.

@Mary Bailey.  Me too, I  read and salivate.  @SharkE  is quite the cook.  Hubbo is a lucky man.
