@TheMemphisVette - That was exactly my feeling about what Rick said; he was in no way stating anything negative about Polish stoneware.

If Rick was selling Temp-tations, then he's going to tell you it's the best thing since split-top bread.

If he's selling Polish Stoneware next week, he will tell you it's the best thing since split-top bread.

He's a salesman/carnival barker.

All of the QVC hosts are.

It's their job.

Re: Shame on you Rick D.

I heard him say that.  I'm not offended.  I think he was just price comparing. I have pieces of both.  However, my Gloria pieces are TREASURED, and yes, I use them.  I have more bowls and mugs  of temptations, and some platters.  My favorite piece is the elongated bread bowls.  I have two or three of them.  Winter, pointsetta, and a basket weave.  I use them for bread, mail, fruit.  The bread bowls were under $15 years ago.

At one time Rick used to present QVC's brand of enameled cast iron cookware and used to say why bother buying La this or La that when you could get the same quality for less by buying QVC's brand.

I kinda laugh to myself when I see him present La Creuset now.

There is no shame in that.  Sales people have to do and say whatever will make them the sale.  It's not really lying.  It is true.

Why anyone would get upset about this is beyond me.  I don't understand how you get to be an adult in life while still being so naive.

Some people use aluminum disposable pans while their precious polish stoneware sits on a shelf.  The horrors!

Why take offense? He's a salesman who is trying to generate sales.

I saw the presentation and he didn't deliberately denigrate or disparage anyone or anything.
