Who knew that white chocolate isn't really chocolate?

What a perfect day! White chocolate is one of my favorite things. Love white chocolate-macadamia nut cookies, and white chocolate bark with fresh raspberries. In fact I just made some white chocolate and raspberry scones for breakfast. Yum!

I just purchased a dozen white chocolate/macadamia nut cookies on the weekend. Love them and didn't feel like baking my own. I think I'm going to make myself a cup of Italian coffee and have one or two since I didn't have dessert for dinner. So I will honor National WC Day.

Jules, it's great to see you posting. Just to let you know we finally got a new puppy on 9-11. He's a Southern gentleman from Virginia so it was a six plus hour drive for us from Pennsylvania. Alfie is a gray brindle cairn terrier (breeder says he will turn darker gray or black) and his personality and demeanor is much like Brodie's. In fact, so much so that DH often calls him "Brodie's ghost." Right now he's an amazing 11 lb. bundle of joy. His name is (Kennel name) What's it all about, Alfie. Remember the song written by Burt Bacharach? Alfie and Anika are getting along very well; no growling or showing of teeth from either one. That's so nice.

Hi sweet Anika and thank you. Congratulations on your new little boy, he sounds adorable. Puppies are so wonderful and healing, I don't know how I would have managed without my Mia. I'm sure Brodie is looking down on Alfie and smiling that he is in such a loving home. Wish we were closer, we could visit over white chocolate-macadamia cookies.

HonnyBrown, I have a Mr. Coffee brand coffeemaker that uses Keurig K-cups. One of my favorites is Tully's Italian Roast. If you like dark roast, extra bold coffee, I'm sure you'd love Italian. I'm drinking my coffee and eating my white chocolate-macadamia nut cookies as I type. Yummy! ...
