The ones from QVC are the same.  When I first started using Sponge Daddy I really liked them (and I still do), but lately they don't seem to last as long.  I even sent QVC an email regarding how fast they wear out.

I'm still using them.  But unless it's my imagination, they don't seem to last as long as they originally did.  I guess if they last too long there wouldn't be any repeat orders so they now make them where you have to buy more often.

FYI:  I don't buy mine from QVC because several stores in my area sell them.

I have thought the same, that the original, right after they came to Q  were much sturdier and lasted much longer. By my second set, they were a crumbling mess within just days if using with any force at all.

I'm sure they will never admit to cheapening them, but some of the comments I've seen on Shark Tank about production and overseas make me know they are more about the price point than the quality of any product they pick up and run with.

LOL, I bought the blocks and cut them down.   They're ok, I use it to clean my glass top stove.

I like them, but they seem to lose firmness after a few uses, even when put in cold water.  Are they supposed to be a water only tool and not used with other cleaning products?  I'm wondering if dish detergent might b e weakening whatever it's made from?

I buy my Scrub Daddies at BBB - better value, especially with the discount coupon.

I like them for non-stick cookware and my one LeCreuset pot, but they aren't really heavy duty scrubbers.

Like someone previously said, they last A LOT longer than Magic Eraser.  Those things disintegrate in my hand, first use. What a waste of money.

me too , deserDi ! especially as it has worn out . At first I thought --how cute , when it was hanging on the facuet handle but now it is crumbling and looks like a bad plastic surgeon got a hold of it!Smiley LOL

I only bought it to use on non stick and ceramic pans and I only used a very mild dish detergent. It is useless now Icannot imagine one peelling a carrot or what ever .Unless I hear that they have been improved this one will be my final purchase. Another item that sounded  terrific but inferior quality. I will continue using an item I buy at the $ store made of nylon net ( that can be put in DW)  for delicate items and the green and yellow pad for tougher needs !

They don't last long and they do start to crumble and fall apart long before i feel I've gotten enough use out of one.

Re: Scrub Daddy

[ Edited ]

i cant imagine anyone wanting to use a sponge for longer than about a  month. that is how long i usually keep them around, especially the ones used in the kitchen, which get a lot more use.

Same here, & I wash mine in the dishwasher.  I can't imagine what it would take to have one fall apart after just a few uses.  ??
