I am a long-time Schwan's customer, my Dad knew the Schwan family when he was growing up in Minnesota, but I've not ordered as frequently due to service issues in my area that started before the pandemic..

So today I received an order -- first in many months -- and found a little postcard inside the bag announcing the name change to Yelloh.

Good grief. As a marketing professional I "get it" but I just want to roll my eyes. SIGH

I hope it is a successful rebranding for them, though.

I've never ordered from Schwans, they didn't appear to have a very "healthy" focus, rather more on "comfort" foods.  But I kind of like the new name.

I am with you.  I wish sometimes they would remember "if it ain't broke don't fix it"!

I used to order from them and haven't in a while so I had no idea.  I get the Yelloh, but they will always be Schwan's to me.

The marketing MBA's must be hard at work.  Does "yelloh" mean something?  Or did "Yelloh" buy Schwan's?   "Schwan's" is a name that everyone knows, and mostly in a positive way, so why abandon it?.

I find the name change to be odd.  Who came up with that name?  It is as bad as DuPage Medical Group changing to Duly.  They changed the name because they want to do some business out of state.

@Suzeecat Yes, many of their products are not that "healthy", tho tasty.  However, they do carry a line of products called "Livesmart" which is healthy and pretty tasty.  That is if they have the products.  Like many others, they have supply problems so many things that I would order is listed as "restocking".  As for the new name, sounds kind of strange imo.

Is there a particular significance to the word 'Yelloh'?     Maybe because I haven't patronized them it's just something of which I'm unaware.

It's an unusual version of a word that doesn't make sense to me.

Never ordered from them, but the original name is a classic. To rename it this frankly stupid new name is just ridiculous! Who will know what they are if someone is trying to find Schwan's? They'll lose that market big time!!! Unless they are going in a total new direction and are catering now to a new target group. The new name sounds like a Gen Z concoction in my opinion.
