I used to eat it a lot, but will no longer consider farm raised. It is near impossible to get "specific" (Pacific) salmon around here!

Love salmon and eat it at least two or three times a week. Wild caught only! I like it simply grilled, but also love salmon burgers!

Just BBQ'd a piece last night. I buy the flash frozen vacuum packed slices from Costco. My dh does not like Salmon, so when I BBQ his burger, I put a slice of salmon in foil and place it at the back of the BBQ. I always cook it outside, because my DH even complains about the smell of cooking fish indoors. I do not eat salmon even every week, but do love it.

We eat it often, but never more than once a week unless there are leftovers.
I prefer salmon fillets to steaks, and often just bake it in the oven with lemon & seasonings. Leftovers are often tossed into a pasta or rice dish, no specific recipe, just whatever veggies I have on hand mixed into the pasta or rice.
Here are 100 ways to prepare salmon from Cooking Light:

I really like salmon and try to eat it at least once a week. After the reports on farm raised salmon, I watch for the wild caught or King Salmon sales. In fact, I am off to pick up some King Salmon today. I fix mine in foil packs.....seasonings, a pat of butter and little white wine.

I bought the flash frozen vacuum packed slices from Costco one time when they were out of fresh- they were great!! And portion controlled too!

I buy salmon at costco and pretty much eat it every night of the week--- maybe have a vegetarian meal one one night. I just poach it and have it with salad. I eat a no/ low carb healthy fats, high fiber, low glycemic diet.

I buy two vacuumed packed bags of salmon, containing two steaks each with every food order. I bake it with olive oil and some spices. I also buy two packs of frozen Alaskan salmon burgers which I also bake. I wish i could get it fresh, but that is impossible for me. I love salmon and almost always order it when we go out to eat. It's my favorite fish. I eat others also. I don't eat any meats or chicken anymore.

I love love love salmon. But, it must be wild-caught Alaskan King Salmon for me. Consequently, I don't get it that often. Sometimes I purchase from an operation up in Alaska, but it's spendy.
Every now and then, my high-end grocery store gets it in and I might snag some there. I do have some vac-sealed in my freezer. It's time I had salmon again! ![]()
While seafood is very good for us, I'm sure we all know that too much of a good thing IS too much of a good thing, so a couple times a week is probably best.
ETA - I do use OmegaFactors brand Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil. Hopefully it helps with a few of my conditions. I get it through Amazon.
