@rockygems123.  No, mine was in a round plastic covered bowl slightly larger than a salad plate.  It was under $2.50, so I guess I shouldn't have expected much.  I got spoiled with Wendy's salads which are generous but much more expensive.

One thing I've learned about these pre-made salads, you have to watch the EXPIRATION DATES.

I usually eat these for lunch and/or as a snack.  I only purchase the one pictured.

The one I saw on Walmart's website was 15oz, is that the size that you had?

They claim it's enough for 4.5 servings, that didn't seem right.

@rockygems123 , My salad was 12.25 oz. and it was a substantial size for one person.

Let us know what you think about the salads.

If you are an Amazon Prime member they offer several levels of grocery delivery.  Besides Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh they offer Amazon Prime deliveries, may differ by areas.

Amazon Prime has no minimum you can have the $2.99/lb cherries delivered by themselves if you want.

The choices are somewhat limited but typically prices are even lower than Walmart+.  They have been a great supplement to Walmart+, between the two I would never have to leave the house lol.

I'll make this a separate post too as others may need / like this info.

This is the same brand my grocery store sells and I always get the Chef Turkey & Ham due to the expiration date that is much later than the rest of the choices.  3 for $10.00, I eat these salads for lunch during the week.

I love salad.

I buy 3 or 4 chopped salad kits from: Aldi's, Walmart, Meijer or Jewel.  I really like the sunflower seed or chopped broccoli the best.  I add blue cheese. It's usually two meals for me.

I really like restaurant chopped salads but three times the grocery store prices.  Those are usually two or three meals.

I used to make salads for us when hubby was working and that really burned me out.

I get Walmart grocery delivery and today I got a real treat. Once in a while I order a pre-made salad. This one is the Marketside Farmhouse with chicken and bacon. The salad includes tomatoes, sunflower seeds ,romaine lettuce croutons crumbles and buttermilk dressing. From time to time it's nice to have a grab and go and this one was delicious.

@QVCkitty1 That sounds good to me especially the grab and go part and the sunflower seeds and buttermilk dressing!  We keep romaine heads--use one for salad for the two of us.  We got spray bottles and have olive oil, avocado oil and balsamic vinerar in them to make a quick dressing the lazy way.  Isn't romaine so good?

We often put leftover rotisserie chicken or tuna on top of ours, and lately have added diced apple (very good with the tuna) or peach or nectarine when they are about to get too old!  Woman Embarassed

Now you have made me hungry!!!!Woman LOL  But it is a sardine on Dave's Bread lunch for me today.

@Sooner   -  OT:

When I was a little girl I used to love "sarbean" sandwiches.  (I was so young I couldn't even pronounce sardineWoman LOL.)  Anyways, I would often ask my Dad to make me a "sarbine" sandwich.

Haven't had one in years.  The thought of just putting on same sardines out of the can doesn't really appeal to me nowadays.  Could you recommend some appealing condiments to add so this old 'little' girl can enjoy something from the past - soo long ago?

TIA

@eddyandme Great!  I buy sardines from King Oscar (Walmart has them--supposed to be caught in Iceland or somewhere near and Processed in Polnd), Bela, Crown Prince and some others that are not caught and processed in Asia and those to me are worth it.  I get some excellent ones caught in Mediterranean from Amazon.  They aren't as fishy.  Crown Prince say on the can caught in Scotland.  Others also list where caught.

I like them with grainy mustard on two slices of Dave's bread--lots of protein and fiber.  I am a hot sauce fan so Franks (not too spicy) is another favorite topping, also lemon or lime juice too!

I love them--had one yesterday when husband was lunching elsewhere!  Good luck and happy fishing!

@SoCal Bred  3 fpr $10.00? faint.gif

My store $4.49.

=========================

@eddyandme  I grew up eating sardine sandwitch w/katchup for lunch snack.  Saltine crackers on the side. Smiley LOL

It's the only way I eat them to this day.  Except the "saltine crackers" are omitted.

Yep, they're the 7.75 oz bowls, I shop at Albertsons or Vons both have the same prices.
