I have recently bought Pyrex.  It works great and is a heck of a lot less money than the fancy bake ware.

@chickenbutt

I love the little ovals too!  I can imagine how they would be perfect for your apple crisp.

I have used them for apple puffed pancake, and crustless quiche, and casseroles.

@homedecor1

Thanks!  I am excited for you, that you purchased 4 of the individual casserole dishes.  Of course I am curious now, and wonder which color/s.  Smiley Happy

There are so many uses, not just for baking, but for serving too.  I really like the size, not too big, not too small.  For us, when I make dessert, the dish is a serving for two.

Oh, it would be also perfect for a hot dip.

Enjoy your casserole dishes!

@oceantown - Such a good point about the serving aspect of Fiestaware—I'd say I use them at least as often for presentation pieces as I do for baking pieces! They're gorgeous.

@loriqvc, thanks for your reply!  I had mentioned earlier that I like the little oval casserole dishes for ice cream, so I thought I would share my photo from this summer.  Had to click fast, my ice cream was melting!  I used fiesta bouillon bowls to serve the different toppings.

@oceantown - I love the individual casseroles and the bouillon bowls; they have such fantastic style with their unique shapes! My current obsession is mixing and matching the oval-ish bread trays with ramekins for fresh-baked breads and compound butters or specialty jams. I've been trying really hard not to start adding the new mulberry color to my collection; I just don't have the space for all these fun dishes! Smiley Happy

Oh crud, boullion bowls?   I don't have any of those, nor have I even seen them.   Now I probably need to check that out.    I don't need bowls for boullion, but I do like small things in which you put other things.  Smiley Very Happy

I do have one of the little 3-legged bowls that I use in my bedroom.  Pretty sure I heard about that one here in the Fiesta thread.

Thanks for your reply, @PatsyCline!

@loriqvc, yes, they have such great shapes, and colors too of course!  The handles on the ovals sure make it easy to remove hot from the oven.

I love your idea of the pairing the bread tray and ramekin together.  That would be a beautiful presentation.  You could even use those two pieces together for a cup of soup and sandwich.  Cute!

I have paired the small oval platter with the jumbo cup for soup & sandwich, or soup & bread.

You mentioned mulberry.  I think I may buy the mulberry small fruit dish at some point.  I enjoy collecting that bowl in many colors.  They are small so they don't take much space in the cupboard, and they are so handy.

@chickenbutt, oh you would love the bouillon bowl.  When I want just one scoop of ice cream, I use that bowl.  Helps with the temptation of getting a larger serving!  When Mr. oceantown sees me packing the ice cream into that little bowl, he tells me I could just get a larger bowl!  Smiley Very Happy

edited to add:

I forgot to mention, my friend has one of those little 3 legged bowls, and it is so cute!

@oceantown - I collect the small bistro bowl in all the colors*; I find that piece to be the perfect size for just about everything. The bowl has never been offered in a purple color until now, which is why the mulberry is especially tempting.

*All the colors except sage, which I feel has a bit of an odd tone in comparison to the other colors, and foundry, which I'm still on the fence about since it is supposed to have a matte finish. Do you have anything in the foundry color?

@oceantown

The only "color" they had was a almond  & yellow.  I bought 2 each.  I also bought 3 bouillon bowls (love them) green, turquoise and yellow.

I  waiting for Macy's to offer free shipping because I find good price with my coupon & sale prices.  Our Kohls seems to be phasing out Fiesta and filling the space with Food Network serveware & tableware.

My "go to" bowls are the smaller bowls, fruit dishes & square baker.  I only buy the pieces that I know I'll use -- the au gratin plates were only $8.10/piece so that's why I got them.  Thanks for the ideas!

I love all the colors but must admit-- I don't like "rotating" my dishes every time I empty dishwasher & put dishes away so I don't use same color all the time😉
