I have to say I don't agree @scarfboy . It doesn't bother me in the least. Food shows are one of my favorites. I will say, when a show does bother me I will change the channel or do something else.
By the way, although I have not been on these boards as long as many others, I know QVC doesn't answer questions like this on here. You could go to the feedback section on the bottom of the page though and leave your comments.

@scarfboy, after so many years with Q have you just started watching Q food shows or have you recently decided the squishing is "mostly disgusting"?
Also, since it is "mostly disgusting" do you have exceptions where squishing is acceptable?

i have no issues with the food presentations.

QVC has done this for years. I turn it off. I don't expect anyone to change their presentations to please me.

@scarfboy. Perhaps you could contact QVC and make some new suggestions for showing food that would be more appealing to you but keep sales up.
In lieu of that, quit watching food shows!

I think that practice is pretty dumb too--sorry but squishing food never was the thing that made me HAVE to order an item---reminds me of when my kids squished up bread and ate it in a ball-

Just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their's. I find it difficult to watch many of the "food" or "gourmet" segments on QVC simply because the cost of the items is incredibly high and out of reach for most. Although they tout certain specialty foods as being so delicious and wonderful, the presentations are too "over the top" for my tastes. Sure, they are "selling" these items to the public and that's their job. But squishing so much food just to show the texture, size, etc., as well as the amounts used for each presentation seems wasteful. Hopefully, they are feeding the staff and donating to local homeless shelters with the leftovers.

What is disgusting about compressing food? You do it when you eat, when you cut something, it's just food. People fold pizza, fold/squish things before dipping it, etc. It's eating. It happens.

I'm on auto delivery for the Faroe Island salmon. They are delicious abd they don't smell fishy or stink up my house
tbe other day I ordered the shrimp burgers for tbe first time, they were delivered yesterday abd had one for dinner, absolutely delicious. These are the only food items I hacebirdered from Gourmet Holiday
I am not bothered by the food squishing. I do winder if all that food goes to waste. The people who design the food tables for presentation do a great job, Maybe sone of the crew behind the scenes eat the food, I hope so as it would be a shane to waste food when people don't have enough to eat.

Why is every food product demo seem scripted? Always the same cut in half meat and cookies smashed together. Why are the cans of nuts always rolled out? Why not dump like we all do? I watch some then tune out. I do like Marie Louise with LocknLock.
