See's sells their candy at kiosks at the mall during the Christmas holidays here but they don't have a store year-round here that I am aware of; their candy is really good.....a friend used to give everyone at work some Sees each Christmas and we always looked forward to it.

It's the best! I grew up on it. My Mother would bring home the yearly box of See's that her employees gave her, and I would test then until I found one I liked, she saying that she never picked up a piece of candy that didn't have a hole in it, lol. My favorites are the rum nougat and strawberry creams. Christmas wouldn't be the same without a box of these. DD loves the truffles, the lemon being my favorite.

I've had drugstore boxed candy, obnoxiously overpriced "gourmet" candy, and everything in between.

I have yet to find chocolates/candy that that comes in such a good assortment, that is super fresh, and that simply tastes as good as See's. And I think that compared to some of the frou-frou little gourmet candy companies, it is still the best value around.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} completely agree!

I would have to agree as well. My mom goes every year go visit my aunt and always brings a big box home for us. THE best!

Has anyone else ever been in a candy factory's outlet store? I'm often in Southwest Colorado where there is a large Russell Stover/Whitman's factory in Montrose. It's a free-standing building the size of a supermarket. I'm sure my eyes bugged out the first time I saw it. This place is filled with large tables covered with high piles of the various candies. Prices are very low compared to retail. Talk about a kid in a candy store!

We love See's. I always get dark chocolate. Love the Bordeaux, marzipan, almonds, etc. Their sugar free chocolate is good too.

See's is a really good chocolate, and I learned to prefer one small piece of their candy, to any candy bar there is. Godiva is probably the only American brand that is competitive with See's, but I still prefer See's.

Our Midwestern family prefers it, too, and we always take it for gifts when we visit back there. When I lived in St. Louis county we had a wonderful candy maker, Mavrakos, which no longer exists, and I often wonder if Mavrakos was St. Louis' equal to Sees. Guess I'll never know.

Not only is the quality of the product good, but the service is excellent and I appreciate the effort they make to serve the customer.

Speaking of chocolate, does anyone else think that Hershey's has gone WAY down hill? I now prefer Dove dark, and am keeping them in business, lol. See's custom boxes sound like a good idea, I just KNOW that I will be ordering. Thanks, ladies, for the reviews.
