Stouffers makes a good SOS in the red box. Can't think what they call it, pretty sure its not SOS.

Creamed chipped beef?

Love it but it's so easy to make, I gave up on trying to find the jarred meat here in. So Cal, I just use the Buddig......

I think dried beef is next to the Spam and the canned meats. In little clear jars.

That's the way I've seen and purchased it as well. It's a short glass jar with a metal top. The beef had been sliced very thinly in small sheets and is stacked vertically in the jar.

In CA and I remember seeing that in stores. My Mom never made it and I never made it either. Doesn't appeal to me. I always heard it as the other name: SOS.

Carl Budding is a good brand. Like it better than the little jar, but either one works.

Carl Budding found hanging on the lunch meats rack...

I am not in CA, but in PA it's sold with the prepackaged deli meats in a sealed bag. I have never seen it in a jar.
