Rivet from pan shot off when cooking.

Okay, I've never had this happen. It startled me and my son. I was cooking a grilled cheese sandwich in a Wolfgang puck bistro pan. I was just getting ready to take out the sandwich when this pop, sounded like a cross between a firecracker and a gun shot, happened. A hot rivet shot off of the pan. Luckily it missed my son and landed behind him on the floor.

Now I'm a little worried about using other similar pans. Anyone have experience with this?
