Go for it!

For such a vendor with such huge purchasing power, their produce is awful in my opinion. I think produce is graded into classes and they buy from the lowest traunch possible.

I totally agree! I think they buy the fruit that gets passed over by better grocerie stores.

I almost bought necatarines there the other day. I did buy plums which were excellent-very sweet the way I like them.

Re: Returning produce to Walmart?

I think you can return almost anything to WalMarat except stolen sunglasses.

I laid my sunglasses down one day in their egg department while I looked for a dozen with no cracks. When I reached back for them, I saw a hand grabbing them and running toward the front of the store. Nobody caught this person.

I went to lost and found and gave them a description of my glasses, which were prescription, and pretty expensive. They had a very unusual feature, and I actually had a photo of me wearing them, which I gave to them - probably silly, but just in case someone realized they couldn't use them and turned them in. Somehow it got to be a "top of conversation" with a couple of the girls.

Believe it or not, about ten days later, someone tried to "return" my sunglasses, complete with a tag which had been stolen from a pair in their sunglass department. She told them she was returning the glasses because she couldn't see through them. One of the gals in the return department remembered the story and caught on. She went into an office, called the cops, and they arrested the woman. I got my glasses back. I doubt if this happens very often, but it was very much appreciated.

I bought 3 lbs of ground beef at walmart to make a batch of bbq. When I tasted it it was like eating rubber. I took the receipt back to the service counter and they gave me my money back.

I would too, I take things back if they are not the quality they should be....but I have not returned food because I overbought for a party.....like the poster stated earlier that someone did.

I return anything including food that does not meet my expectations. I've never had a problem, but I've always had my receipt.

When I buy strawberries at Publix or Ingles, I buy two, sometimes three packages. When I get home, I make one package of the ripe ones that are edible. The other one or two unripe packs, I get refunded. When I get at the farmer's market, I make up my own container with only ripe berries. And before you ask, when I buy grapes in a supermarket, I pick one or two compact bunchs and put it a fresh bag. I NEVER buy grapes with a bunch of loose ones rolling around in the bag.

Brilliant!

How can you tell the difference between the ones that are ripe and aren't? I don't eat strawberries very often, but my kids do.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.
