Go to Ebay and put this in the search engine. New Lee Model 5402 All Stainless Steel Quality Corn Cutter Creamer 6282511 I have one of these and it works beautifully. I often freeze 12-14 dozen ears of corn at a time and it makes the job very quick and easy. I see there are plastic versions of this item. I can't imagine that plastic would hold up well. I know the stainless steel one does. I've had mine and used it for decades.

I also use a knife & my bundt pan. I set the corn on the middle part of the bundt pan to cut the corn off. I have tried a couple other gadgets & went back to the knife.

If you have a mandolin, you can slide the cob across the blade to remove the kernels. There's also this tool that's popular with people who freeze corn.

I have the Genius Speed Slicer plus Storage Container K-33975. I used it to cut the corn off the cob, loved it!!!!

This is how my mother did it for freezing. She used an electric knife to make it go really fast.

This kind of corn cutter (made of wood) was what my mother used. After all the ears were husked, silks removed and washed, she would put a big plastic dish pan in the sink and use the cutter. You can adjust the "teeth" part (made of metal) to whatever height you like. In my area, you can find them in Ace Hardware stores or older stores that sells farm equipment, etc.

We also used to put up at least 12-14 dozen ears for cream corn! Would have blisters on our hands from all the husking & cutting the ends off the cob!

I think the wood version is still available but I like the stainless steel version because it's easy to clean.

I still freeze about 50 pints of corn/year. That's a lot of corn cutting.
