Re-heating prime rib . . . what's the best way?

We have about 3 ribs worth of prime rib left over from Christmas dinner. Just wondering about the best way to re-heat it today.

I have the same situation. I will probably warm in microwave with some au jus. I warm on a glass plate or pie plate with another plate over the top. Good luck to both of us.

So far I have never had any left over, so am interested in any responses, in case I ever do.

Warm the gravy FIRST......then put the sliced meat in, cover and turn off the heat. The meat will not stay pink, or get too warm, but it won't get tough, either.

I would say no to the microwave. It will cook from the inside. I would do it the way Desertdi suggested.

If you do try the microwave do not use full power and go for a short time.

The grill! Hate meat reheated in microwave - it overcooks the steak.

Put the slices of Prime Rib on a sheet pan, completely cover them with lettuce leaves. Put this in the oven, then cut on the broiler. The lettuce leaves protect the meat. Watch it so it doesn't burn.

I'd put the oven rack in the upper third of the oven.

I like the sound of this! Wish I still did prime rib so I could try it.

Never would I put it in the microwave. I'd much prefer mine room temp than that.
