Aren't round hot dogs just thick cut beef bologna?

Have you ever eaten an unheated cocktsil weiner or hot dog? Taste like bologna to me.

LOL...that's what I thought too! DH said we will go to Primanti Bros for a fried bologna sandwich instead of buying those round hot dogs!!

@We rescue cats   I've been craving a fried bologna sandwich. I haven't had one in many years but oh so good. My mom (German) use to make me liverwurst sandwiches and always had bologna for school lunches.

I love a good hot dog, but those round Rastelli ones do not look good to me at all.

When I was younger, sometimes I'd eat a cold Oscar Mayer hotdog.  I'm sure the Rastelli hotdogs are better quality, but no thanks.  They're too expensive and we like the Kirkland dinner franks from Costco.

@simplyfriends I'm with you, I crave those wonderful 'fill-up' foods from my childhood!

@JeanLouiseFinch   My grandson loves hotdogs so I'll try the Kirkland dinner franks. Thanks!

I love a good hotdog and would try just one but would never buy that many or pay that kind of $$ for them. I ate bologna as a kid and I do like mortadella which is Italian bolongna, but I don't buy it.

Well you DO know you can cut one in half to serve two people?
