Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

@CoffeeNut  That looks really good.  I will make one sometime next week.  Have to eat a few other things before they go bad.

Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

Really, really good.  They are very flavorful and tender.  I did the first ones in a frying pan with EVOO and butter.  But, the next were done on our big green egg.  OMG.  The oak smoke flavor added a whole new level of wonderful.  Great item!

Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

I'm sure glad you all are  loving this product!   I've purchased quite a few food products from QVC, most of which have run from good to very good, but this one is a definite favorite.   High quality product, and just as tender and flavorful as advertised.

I hope they keep offering them because when my current AD runs out I want to go back on.

Remember when AD was just until forever, unless you cancelled it or they stopped having the product?  I really liked that.   I guess cost was elemental in changing it to one year for most things.

Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

OK, we tried these for the first time, and DH and I agreed they taste like the pork we got 50 years ago!  Unbelievably tender and flavorable.

Will definitely order again.

Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

I just had one of these chops.  It was really moist and very tender and I loved it.

This being said, I don't know what part of the pig this piece of meat came from, but it was no rib eye.  It was all brown meat and I do know that the rib eye portion is not that dark.   But having said that, it was delicious.  I actually prefer the darker meat.

@CLEM

I have been noticing lately that terms describing pork products are changing. I came across an article about it. They are changing the names of various parts of the hog because they think it will be more appealing to the consumer. Most of them sound like beef names but are spelled a little differently. I thought it was kind of silly. Wonder what they will call ham nowWoman Surprised

Re: Rastelli Pork Ribeye Steaks

@tiny 2  I have heard that too.  I forgot what pork butt is supposed to be called now.

But with this chop, what I received is not at all what Mr. Rastelli shows on TV.  But it is really delicious.
