Really? Here unprepared food is not taxed..Restaurant or cooked food is..

 

Flower seedsand plants  are tAxed...vegetable seeds and plants are not

That's how it's always been here, too.    Food that is considered 'prepared and served' is taxed.  That would include restaurants and fast food - it's all considered prepared and served.

 

Short of that, no sales tax on food.

 

I bought a couple of food items at Evine and they kept charging me sales tax.  I kept telling them that this state does not pay sales tax on food items.  The best I got was 'well, go ahead and order it and then after you get it you can call us and we will credit you back'.  Uh, no - how about you fix your system and do it properly?    Didn't order another food item there after that.

Maybe using a wide angle lens?

Anyways, a 4 oz.serving  of protein is perfect for portion control.
