Range Mate Microwave grill question

I tried making boneless breasts and while they cooked fine I can't get them to brown at all---can anyone help with what I might be doing wrong? Thanks much!

I spray my Rangemate grill with olive oil and then spray some on the chicken breasts with their seasonings. I don't preheat mine and somehow I do get grill marks. I find it works great on hot dogs too! I have never tried pre-heating mine for a few seconds, then put the chicken down and continue cooking. That might help. I think you can email the Rangemate people for advice too. Good luck!
