She is used to having her own show and being the only one talking. I imagine it would be difficult to step back and let someone else take over.

Also, for those who complain about her raspy voice...I read that she had throat surgery a few years ago. Maybe the rasp is a result of that surgery and there's nothing she can do about it. What's she supposed to do? Hold up signs? Use sign language?

I think you'e right about having her own show. And, if she was really being rude, which I don't agree about, Mary Beth handled it just as I would have expected - very professionally. At least she was giving information - not screaming gorgeous, amazing, figure flattering, beautiful, and so on and on and on.

I have two friends who had to have their thyroid glands removed due to pre-cancerous conditions. Both ended up with very raspy, weak voices. No fault of their own, and at times it is difficult to listen to them. But certainly nothing to complain about. We can't all be perfect!

And I have to say it was nice to see someone overpower DV for a change. No happy dancing, no yum yum faces. For once I was able to watch him, thanks to RR.

People with thyroid disease can be prone to having weak vocal cords and frequent laryngitis when strained. With her occupation a lot of public speaking is a given. I feel sorry for someone in that predicament with vocal difficulties.

I watched her with DV and thought he held his own as they are both used to being 'the star' but he is gentleman enough to not speak over the vendors he works with. I like a lot of her products. The lid thingys looked useful. I was thinking of ordering the spices due to all the sales talk, then the screen had a big 'sold out' come on the screen !

She would probably do herself a favor to be more careful with her vocal cords. I think when people interrupt and talk over others sometimes they have undiagnosed hearing loss. More and more people are having hearing trouble at younger ages because of listening to loud music--I imagine she attends a lot of her husbands shows--isn't he a rock musician?

Add me to the list of those who can't watch her show. Last time I tried, she looked like a mime.. there wasn't one word or sound that she didn't demo with her hands. Someone said it's because she's Italian. I disagree. I'm Italian and I never knew anyone who spoke like that.

RR needs to take whatever time off in silence that it takes & let her vocal cords heal, or she may have no voice left in a short while. I think she's talked too loud or too forcefully just generally abused her voice all these years to the point that she almost has no voice now. It's sort of hard to do a talk show if you can't talk anymore.

I guess she'll be rich, as she whispers hoarsely to her husband & counts her millions, though!

She had a nodule on her vocal chords. She had it removed in December and was told to rest her voice. Obviously she is not following the doctor's instructions.

I know, she is so bossy, obnoxious, overbearing and rude. I have never seen another vendor treat the hosts that way. Just because she has been successful does not give her the right to act so disrespectful and unprofessional.

You all have said what I would say about her personal qualities - or lack thereof. Her cookware and 'vessels' are beautiful - but - they are so huge! Apparently RR thinks we all cook for the 8th army or have 8 kids to feed. I don't know the quality of them but certainly eye-catching!

Well, it wouldn't be the Q Board if somebody didn't come along to tell everybody how horrible they are for discussing or expressing their opinions about somebody in the public realm.

First time I put anybody on ignore in a long time here. It gets tedious.

I have to laugh because they are criticizing people for criticizing people. They never seem to take notice of this little fact!!! LOL!!!!!

Rachael is starting to sound 'butchy' and so bossy - I saw her on with David too and poor David had his fake smile on the entire hour. He was never ever rude to RR and she just climbed all over him with her loud voice. I love David and yes he takes over when he is on but the show is called In the Kitchen with DAVID!!!! Just to remind myself I tuned into the RR show yesterday and she is not like this on her own show at all. Feel bad for the hosts, they must cringe when they see they have to host an hour with RR. I am so surprised her mother, sister, husband or QVC management hasn't spoken to her about how hideous and rude she behaves on QVC. That surprises me. Plus she uses words like 'that stupid thing' or this costs x amount of bucks - just so crass. Notice how delighted all the hosts are ( you can hear it in their voices) when their time is up with RR. Must be so exhausting for them constantly trying to come up with a strategy to get a word in. I loved RR back when she first started 30 Minute Meals - this is a major departure from those shows. Joan Rivers is on now - maybe RR should take a cue from her - she's funny - sometimes makes her presentations crazy good - but she is NEVER RUDE.

Oh please!!!! Pair her up with Joan and we can tune in and see how long it takes for the smackdown to start!!!! I think we could sell tickets to that!!! Thanks for this funny thought! You MADE MY DAY!!! Joan would shut her up in short order.

She was so rude yesterday when she was on with David. I had to turn her off. I don't remember her being like that except in the past year or so. Maybe she is having issues or something.
