Does anyone ever talk about them here or on Recipes?
If so, where? Here or on Recipes?
Zulilly has nice looking cookbooks featured today at really reduced prices, lower than the big A. I just ordered two.

Hi @Noel7,
I think that it would be just fine to post about them right here, in the kitchen forum. ![]()
I tend to think of the Recipe forum for posting recipes in particular, that other members want to share. I doubt that it probably even matters "what gets posted where" in the grand scheme of things, but I guess if I had to post on the subject of cookbooks, I'd probably post about it right here, too. ![]()
I love a good bargain on cookbooks. I have gotten some nice ones in the past from the Q, too.
I like to shop in the bargain/clearance/sale sections in the different stores, to see what I can find there. You can get some really nice books there.
You never know what you might find. I have picked up some nice cookbooks this way. ![]()

If there's an Ollie's close to you, sometimes they will have some nice cookbooks and they're not expensive at all. I've gotten some very good cookbooks there.
I've gotten some great cookbooks at yard sales, too. And when our local library has their book sale, I'll walk over, just to check out the cookbook section. I never know what I'm going to find and can usually find 3-4 good cookbooks.
I'll watch ITKWD sometimes to see what cookbook is being hawked there. Then, if it's something I think I might like, I'll get it from Amazon as it's usually cheaper (and I pay no shipping at Amazon). I did that with the new Fix It and Forget It Champion Recipes cookbook recently. That cookbook was a couple dollars more expensive at Amazon, but since I paid no shipping, it actually came out quite a bit cheaper than buying from the Q.
I love a good cookbook chat!

We have a small, used book store that benefits a local charity.
I have found several cookbooks there. I got 8 or 10 Gooseberry Patch cookbooks there for 2 dollars a piece. Great cook books but no pictures, I love pictures in cookbooks LOL!

I have forbidden myself from purchasing another cookbook but I do love snooping through them! I will occassionally download an inexpensive one from Amazon and I really got into trouble in their Outlet section . . . yikes!
I would think either the Kitchen or Recipe section would be a fine idea to start a thread like this @Noel7 . . . ![]()

Hi @PamelaSue72 ![]()
My mother had a huge collection of cookbooks that I inherited, and I also inherited her interest in them, I have many, many, lol.
We don't have an Ollies around here, I take it that's a favorite bookstore.
BTW, I've done the same as you and ordered the book from Amazon ![]()

Thanks @Toppers ![]()
I agree with you, I was thinking a cookbook discussion might go better here.
Where would you put new food finds, like the spice I posted about? Here, too?

I am so with you! I want pictures, too!!!
I am so disappointed when I order a cookbook and it comes with very few photos.

Well, I like to see how the recipe is SUPPOSED to look, at least the chefs interpretation of it.
But, I also like to see the place settings, cutlery, bowls, table decorations etc.
So many pretty things to be inspired by!
