Question re sending a gift from QVC

I wasn't sure where to put this, but since it's a kitchen item I'm thinking of sending, I thought I would put it here!

Long story short: I'm thinking of sending a gift to someone directly from QVC, and my question is for those of you who have done that. If you included a personal message, did the recipient actually get the message?

I'm asking because I recently had a bad experience with another company. No personal message, no indication of who had sent the gift. I just want to be reassured that this won't happen if I send something directly from QVC.

Has anyone had experience with this? Any problems, or was everything okay? Thanks to all who respond.

Many companies put the message on the address label and it's never seen. Very classy, huh?

That's where the message was supposed to be when I had a bad experience with another company. And the message wasn't there. Also no indication of who had sent it. :-(

That's why I'm skeptical about sending something from QVC. I don't want the recipient to be left wondering!

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

My MIL has sent us gifts from the Q, and if I recall correctly, they have included little personal messages on the packing slip. It would be just a brief message like "happy birthday" or something like that. She would have the gift sent directly from QVC.

From what I understand, that's the way it's supposed to be. A brief message with the sender's name.

It sounds as though it was done correctly for you. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

I just did this at Christmas, i sent my sister some Cheryl's cookies from the Q.

And it was just a small "merry christmas, love...our names"

But you need to look for the message part if your doing it online. I couldnt find it when i was ordering and had to call in to ask about the message. Its on the same page as when your typing their address. Guess i hadnt looked around enough, LOL.

Yes, it wasn't exactly user-friendly!

I'm still trying to decide if I trust QVC to get it right. I may just have it shipped to me, and then I'll send it out myself.

Re: Question re sending a gift from QVC

I'm confused! I have been shipping to others directly from Q for years! I was told they stopped with the 'messages'?

I don't see anywhere on the Ship To page where you can add a message. When I called last year, I was told they eliminated that feature! Weird!

I still ship, because the packing slip always enclosed shows me as the shipper. The recipient doesn't see any prices obviously, but they always know it is from me.

I am going to have to call again next time I send a gift directly to see what the real story is...but I see NOTHING on the ship to page to type a message anymore.

I couldn't find it either. Problem with their process is, if you are using an existing address in the address book that you've set up you can't add anything unless you edit the address I guess. One would have to type in the receiver's address each time rather that select an existing one. I love delivery direct options but often don't use the Q' s because it is not user friendly.
