I got a delivery of Cheryl's cookies on Dec 10th. I didn't realize they should go directly into the freezer. I had surgery the 12th and today (Dec 14th) I read they need to go into the freezer within 3-4 days. I put them in this morning and I ate one to see how it was. Did I wait too long?

They should be fine!

How was the one you ate? The time suggested is for optimum freshness but since they're individually wrapped, they're going to stay fresh longer than four days.

I have had a few stored at room temperature for over a week and they were fine. They just might not be as soft.

@Born2type - Your cookies should be just fine. We have eaten Cheryl's cookies that were in the refrigerator for nine or ten days with no issues, and the freshness level was still good. We've also kept the cookies in the freezer for longer periods than they specify when we've gotten a good deal on a large set, and they were great when eaten frozen or thawed. Enjoy!

I think they meant to say you should freeze them if you planned to keep them for next holiday season. ![]()

Being individually wrapped, they are fine if on the counter for a few days.
