I will be making a decision about what type of flooring to put in my kitchen sometime over the next couple of weeks. I have narrowed the choices down to either a ceramic/porcelain tile or Alterna tile ( a vinyl tile product made by Armstrong that is similar to Duraceramic.)
I love the look of ceramic tile, but I know it can be hard on backs and knees. I enjoy cooking a lot and it is not unusual for me to stand in the kitchen for several hours at a time.
Will I be o.k. with the hard tile if I use gel mats to stand on or should I go with the more forgiving vinyl tile? Husband and I both have some arthritis issues.
What do you think?? Appreciate any input!
