When a recipe calls for buttermilk, does it just mean the powder added to a liquid. For example, I am making some coleslaw today and it calls for buttermilk. The recipe didn't state if it was a cup of liquid buttermilk or just the powder. It also calls for mayo and vinegar. I would think the liquid would make it to runny. Need some help. Thanks.
