Hi all, was wondering if you have any suggestions for a high quality whistling tea kettle. We are big tea drinkers and i would love to invest in something that can look pretty on the stove and can last.

I would love some ideas. Smiley Happy

I don't own this but always trust America's Test Kitchen to do their homework

OXO Tea Kettle won - here is the video

https://www.americastestkitchen.com/videos/4029-stovetop-kettles

ETA - the link brings you to their page but not the video directly

it brings you the WHOLE episode of which the kettle test came from (Perfect Cake)

you can google ATK tea kettle and it should come up

the one on the left is the OXO versin they tested - plain and siimple and not as cut as other OXO kettles

I don’t know why ATK did not test it in their review but Chantal with its harmonic whistle is my favorite.

I have a Paula Deen tea kettle I bought on Wayfair.   It is so cute with a colorful chicken on the outside.  The inside is stainless steel and the outside is done in a ceramic.  I love it and it was reasonably priced.

OXO gets many raves for their products on ATK.

They are also a sponsor of ATK so I don't give OXO much credibility.

I have the Circulon Sunrise whistling tea kettle in turquoise.  It's a nice pop of color on my stove. I'm very pleased with it.

The very best kettle that I use is an electric one---use that thing every day and heats up the water in a few minutes, then turns off. I melted a tea kettle onto a burner once---whole apt filled up with a horribe smell and darn near burned the place down--forgot I had it heating on the stove------couldn't hear the whistle----no more kettles for me.

I use the OXO Good Grips model.  I think I purchased it at Williams-Sonoma.
