Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

I do like LNL and the price is good but I cannot get over the shipping!  After tax and shipping it's not a good deal anymore.

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

We have 4 grown children with households of their own.  I have gifted each family L&L in a "color of their own".  My color is RED, and I expect to get any red lidded container back.  I thought this was a very inlightened concept. . . But our youngest son (and most newly married) doesn't get it and continues to return blue containers to me. . . And here I thought he was so bright (hopefully the new wife can straighten him out. . .

I'm not impressed with this concept. I'd rather the top being connected to the bowl. Besides, this set wouldn't match my other pieces.

Although, I like LNL but has anyone had issues with the bowls becoming warped?

@lorkindividual colors for your family sounds like good thinking!

Maybe your son is brighter than you are thinking ... maybe he is hoping for a refill of mom's cooking ! Smiley Happy

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

@QVC CheerleaderI have never had any warp. I have had them get marked when I 'overnuked' them but then that is my bad ,as Chris has stated they are not for cooking but reheating. I also had a tab break off when I took one out of the freezer and dropped it. All in all though IMO they are a much better quaility than anything else on the market and are very good workers.

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

Thanks for the feedback. I've only reheated in microwave and I've experienced the warping so I don't put in microwave anymore. Sometimes I struggle to remove the top thus the name "lock and lock"

Don't get it.  It is a tiny dot.  Don't you know what you are looking for by the size????

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

@Shawnie

yes it sounds strange - the dot concept BUT I own a lot of LNL pieces bought at various times.  Many have the same shape (i.e. Nesting style) yet the tops are not interchangeable.  It's always a challenge finding the right top.

For instance, several years ago I ordered the flip top style pantry pieces in yellow then decided last year to order another set (yellow no longer avail) so I got blue.  They look the same but tops don't fit!

I hope this description makes sense!

And to other posters:

I've never had a tab break, a LNL stain, etc.

I just threw away some from many many years ago which I started to see discoloration from dishwasher & silicone seals loose.  It was time for them to go plus they were from when LNL only came "clear".
