Finally, a great idea - dot on bottom color codes with lid color! I have marked lid color on bottoms because I have so many.  Like the bowl sizes & price.

I use LNL in my pantry & wish they'd come back with the "flip lid" pantry sets.  And of course, some of mine are from the first airing of LNL - still working fine but time to update.

I spent a few days helping my niece organize her beautiful kitchen & pantry with LNL.

Love them!

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

Hi @homedecor1

Love LNL too, and own enough, but I do wish they all were nesting ones, it's too difficult to store if they don't nest. (For me, anyways).

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

This is my weakness. We have Fiesta dishes in several colors so all of this lock and lock works for me. I'm trying to phase out the clear from when it first came on the Q so of course I need everything I see especially mixed colors in a set!!

Love lock and lock.  You can't have too many

yes I'm at that point - I started collecting Fiesta about 2 years ago.  I agree the colors are nice.  My LNL have never had any breakage, etc. but after years of clear (of course I've bought other sets along the way then I can't get the color again🙁).

@LoveMyBaby

Yes the nestables are nice but I have some bowls from many years ago they don't nest.  I keep lids in pantry drawer above my lock n lock pieces. (My biggest problem is never knowing what lid matches!). These TSV "nest" but I'm sure a pain to get to smallest one!!!

@homedecor1 Oh yes, a pain to get to the smallest one. I have to say, the nesting keeps everything organized and looking good but it takes time to put together.

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

If I buy another Lock n Lock, I’ll have to build an addition on my house.😊 I use them everywhere in the house. My pantry is nothing but Lock n Lock. Mostly clear, but I have added a few sets of the colored lids, although the copper set is my least favorite. The lids just don’t fit and aren’t as easy to Lock and unlock as other sets I have. I’m not as fond of the round sets, bowls, etc. Harder to store. My favorites are the pantry sets and any of the Zen sets....but, I will always keep my eye out for another set that I just have to have.😊😉

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

This whole dot on the bottom was really lost on me, I have to say LOL!

I prefer the nesting sets and have a lot of those, so they have their lids on.

The ones I have that don't nest, I store with the lids on anyway, so I don't have to search high and low for them anyway.

I do have a couple of sets where the same lid fits on every one of the bottoms even when the bottoms have varying sizes (depths I guess you would say), and so those aren't a problem to figure out either, I just stack the lids next to the containers and all the lids are the same anyway.

I'm going to have to think it through maybe a little longer, but I don't find the new system to even be necessary for the way I use and store my pieces.

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

I dunno, It's all well and good for first time buyers but what about collectors who already have sets of bowls in those colors.  It's just one more red lid amongst many in that case.  Does the lid at least have a circle imprinted in the plastic to clue you in it's part of that collection?  If it is a new collection will a one cup always be the same color  and a two cup always be the same color in every collection of this type?  Great if you like a rainbow of colors not so good if you want to have everything the same.

Re: Q2 Big Deal - Lock n lock

I don't have many, but the ones I reach for time and again are the pantry set and a rectangle nesting set with same size lids.

I would also like to see a set of smaller size L&Ls. Use the little ones more than I thought I would!

DDIL is a big L&L fan. I gave her a set along with additional kitchen items for one of her bridal showers.
