I just found them at Williams Sonoma...they had apple spice caramels too....and pumpkin and apple brittles.

They were pricey - $12 - but I HAD to try them.

WOW - they taste home made! Each one is HUGE - twice as large as the supermarket brands.

Here is a recipe that good great reviews from the Food Network -

Hi Terrier! Wowzer, that sounds great. I'm looking forward to finding the Ghirardelli pumpkin caramel, milk chocolate, squares this year. I only discovered them last year but I was surprised at how great they were.

There was a great skit on Portlandia about a celery salesman (played by Steve Buscemi) and the lengths he would go to get more people to eat more celery. I can't help but think of some pumpkin salesman years ago plotting the rise to fame for pumpkin - "It Will Be EVERYWHERE!"

Sorry, maybe it's one of those things you just had to see to appreciate, you can probably google it. I just don't remember pumpkin being such a THING in years past. Now it's advertised like the flavor/scent EVERYONE craves EVERYWHERE, for EVERYTHING. I like pumpkin pie. With whipped cream. I guess I'm a purist.Smile

I'm with Suzeecat: I like pumpkin pie, and I will eat a pumpkin muffin or pumpkin ice cream now and again, but everything else pumpkin is just too much. I like plain caramels--with nuts is about as wild as I get with them! Wink

Pumpkin coffee? Never in a million years!! But then, i cannot stand perfumed coffees and creamers. They just taste like artificial flavoring to me {#emotions_dlg.crying}. But for those of you who enjoy it, by all means, enjoy! Kiss

That's like some kind of nightmare. I'd rather eat dogfood than celery. It's my single most hated food item. I just don't have the celery gene.

Pumpkin caramels sound good Smile

Trader joe's had chocolate covered pumpkin caramels today. I knew better than to buy them but it was tempting.

Thomas pumpkin spice English muffins come out in early November for a limited time so I stock up on them when I can find them......that's my only must-have pumpkin-flavored treat, not even a pumpkin pie fan. All the creamers, etc. just taste too fake to me.

lovesrecess - The Thomas pumpkin spice English muffins are out in the stores now, I saw them Thursday. Thomas also makes pumpkin spice bagels and they are very good.
