When I used to walk into a store to shop I would shop strictly Publix.  Clean store, Personnel awesome.  Pricey but I learned to shop sales.  I looked forward to watching the BOGO's every week.

I stopped going into grocery stores well over a year ago as I had a bad knee surgery and its just too difficult.  Have been doing curbside Walmart pickup ever since. Since Curbside pickup is available during these times you could not pay me enough money to walk into ANY store.  With curbside pickup and delivery from most places, I just don't have too.

We lived in Central Florida decades ago.  We loved the Publix stores.  Wish we had them in New England.

publix is fine.  it's no wegman's though.

i agree with all of your complimentary comments about publix, and in this area, it is the only store i shop in.  i would give anything for a wegman's, however.

We exclusively shop at Publix, unless on a rare occasion (during these Covid times) they don't have something we need.

I can only echo the good things said by others above, plus the fact that the stores are employee owned.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Re: Publix Grocery Stores

[ Edited ]

I loved the store when I visited in Florida.  But I love our northern version, Wegmans.  Just as good.  I get my food from Wegmans via instacart.   When I found out we could get Wegmans with instacart, I joked now if only I'd get Publix too.

Publix is great.  I agree with other posters, clean, courteous and well stocked.  In fact during the beginning of this craziness they always seemed to have more than the other stores.  Their deli and bakery are awesome!

No Publix here in SE Wisc, just Piggly Wiggly, Kroger, Festival. A little further away from here, Meier & Woodmans. We have Walmart close but not really a fan. DD has Publix by her & loves it!

Aren't the employees part owners?  @Big Joanie   I was thinking that I read that on the forums.

I agree, I love Publix.  It is the difference between night and day with Walmart.  I haven't stepped inside a Walmart since February.  I doubt I will again.  For me, it is Publix and Aldis.

I still order from Walmart online and home delivery.
