Hooray!
Restaurant's trick to reheating pizza is going viral
Leftover pizza is most often still tasty, but it does tend to lose quite a bit of its crispy-yet-gooey texture magic.
Roberta's in Brooklyn, New York, has a fix for that, and generously shares the reheating tip on its take out menu.
That advice was posted to Reddit and has since gone viral, saving the world from soggy leftovers.
Here's what to do.
Heat up a non-stick skillet, preferably on a low to medium setting, then drop in a slice.
Give it a couple of minutes to get crispy on the bottom.
Next, add 2 drops of water to the pan, but away from the food itself, turn the burner to low, and put the lid on.
After about 60 seconds, you're ready to feast on your perfectly crispy and gooey slice.

Hi @feline groovy,
Thanks for sharing this info. with us.
I have heard about toasting the pizza in a skillet to reheat it, but I have never heard of adding a little water, and then putting a lid on the skillet, too.
This sounds like a great idea.
I have to confess though, that I love to reheat leftover pizza in the microwave oven. I like it with the crust kind of soft and soggy, with the cheese nice and melted again. Yummy!

I did buy the Nuwave from Q and actually reheats and makes the pizza as good if not better (well maybe pizza just tastes so good for breakfast).

Yeah. Pretty much!
I love cold pizza, but honestly, it's never around long to get cold!

I've been reheating pizza in a nonstick skillet or griddle for years. I loosely cover the pan with foil and heat the pizza for 5 minutes or so.
Preheating is unnecessary to me. The water and lid is not needed either as we prefer a crisp crust. Try my way, it is easier.

I heat my oven, then when it's hot, I turn off the oven, turn on the broiler (same appliance).
I have to watch it, your method seems easier.
